The most frightening thing about this is how accurate the depiction of her distorted reality was. When she mumbles “Everything is all mixed up”, I immediately relate because I’ve been there. This should be deemed an informational film because of how realistic it is. Truly terrifying.

From a psychological point of view, it's very intersting and creepy as well. We know Sarah has been living on her own for quite a long time now. One of her last little pleasures consisted in eating chocolates and appetizing meals. And she has deprived herself from that pleasure. So the refrigerator (unconsciously) was very important in her life, becoming almost a character. She was talking to him at the beginning of her diet as if he was a person. So she has come to a point of no return in which she does not eat any more, and the fridge becomes angry at her. The fridge is kind of her unconscious warning her SHE MUST STOP THIS MEDICATION RIGHT NOW BEFORE TURNING INTO A TOTAL INSANE PERSON !
